Kanye West Says ‘Swish’ Album ‘Gets Better Every Week’

Kanye West made Big Boy’s hotline bling when he called into L.A.’s Real 92.3, congratulating the iconic DJ for his induction into the Radio Hall of Fame. The quickie conversation included a brief update on the Chicago rapper’s Yeezus follow-up, Swish.

As expected, Mr. West skipped the details but told the masses that the creative process has been a slow grind.

“I don’t wanna overly describe it or overly try to hype it up. I’ve been working slow,” said West, who admitted that some recordings meant for his LP like “FourFiveSeconds” and “Tell Your Friends” went to other artists like Rihanna and The Weeknd.

“[Swish]’s sounding good. It’s like a sonic painting, and it gets better and better every week,” he added.

West also reflected on the impact of his 2008 release, 808s & Heartbreak, saying it “became the sound of radio.” He recently performed the808s LP at California’s Hollywood Bowl this past September.

As the wait for new Kanye heat continues, listen to his full interview with Big Boy courtesy of HipHop-N-More here.
