Quentin Miller Comes Forward and Denies Drake Ghostwriting Speculation

During Meek Mill’s rant, the rapper name-dropped Quentin Miller’s name as  “the real writer” of Drake’s verse on “R.I.C.O.”  His name appears in the credits on Drake’s latest project, If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late as well.

Miller explains in the Tumblr post how he got the call from Drake to work with him and couldn’t believe he was on the phone with “one of my Idols.” “Most of the project was done before i came in the picture,” Miller wrote. “I remember him playing it for me for the first time thinking ‘Why am I here?’ like.. what does he need me for??”

He goes on to describe what it was like in the studio and finished up by adamantly denying the week’s rumors. “I am not and never will be a ‘ghostwriter’ for drake.. Im proud to say that we’ve collaborated .. but i could never take credit for anything other than the few songs we worked on together.”
