A Georgia man killed two people at a liquor store before shooting his parents in a spree that ended in an exchange of gunfire with authorities, officials said.
The mayhem began when Jeffrey Scott Pitts, 36, opened fire inside the shop in Conyers, Georgia, about 5 p.m. ET on Sunday, according to the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say Pitts had been involved in an altercation at the business earlier in the day before returning with a gun. A store clerk and a customer were fatally struck. Pitts left and traveled about four miles to his home where he then shot his parents, officials said.
