Kelly Osbourne: I Did Not Make the Zendaya “Weed Comment,” I Might Quit Fashion Police

Kelly Osbourne wants the record set straight, or she walks! The outspoken Brit, 30, took to Twitter on Tuesday, Feb. 24, to clarify her role in the Fashion Police’s Oscars episode. The E! group’s critique of singer Zendaya has been widely viewed as racially insensitive with co-host Giuliana Rancic criticizing her thick dreadlocks, saying, “I feel like she smells like pachouli oil.”

After the group laughed, E! cut away to an image of the former Disney star, 18, as another voice was heard saying, “Or weed!”

Though many claimed Osbourne was behind that comment, she tweeted about the incident soon after the episode aired.

“I WILL NOT BE DRAGED INTO THIS! The situation is being rectified like ADULTS by both parties. I hope you can leave it to them & do the same!” she wrote. “you guys do realize that @Zendaya is my friend right?”

As Rancic made headlines for her comments and subsequent apology, Osbourne once again tweeted, this time seemingly threatening to leave the show.

“Im giving everyone involved 24 hours to make it right or the world will hear how I really feel. contactually Im not allowed to speak!” she tweeted. “I DID NOT MAKE THE WEED COMENT. I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM SO AS A RSULT OF THIS IM SEREIOULSY QUESTIONONIG STAYING ON THE SHOW!”

“To say that an 18 year old young woman with locs must smell of patchouli oil or ‘weed’ is not only a large stereotype but outrageously offensive,” she wrote before listing a series of impressive stars who rocked similar looks.
