Demi Lovato stopped by an emergency room on Tuesday (Feb. 24) with a lung infection, a rep for the pop star has confirmed to Billboard.
According to multiple reports, Lovato was taken to Providence Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, Calif. after the 22-year-old was having difficulty breathing. Medical tests were administered, and Lovato was not in the hospital for long after receiving treatment.
“Demi returned home shortly after her ER visit and is feeling much better today,” a rep for the singer told Billboard on Wednesday morning.
Lovato is still finishing the follow-up to 2013’s Demi, with the new album due out this year. Disney Music Group president Ken Bunt told Billboard last fall, “We’re really excited. We’ve got a new album coming from her next year. We’re not talking about release dates yet. And she’s going to continue her world tour throughout next year.”
