Contrary to reports, Bobbi Kristina Brown “is not brain dead, and the Houstons and the Browns are not fighting,” a source close to the family told E! News Thursday. Additionally, the source explained, “There is no ‘family gathering’ today that is any different from any other day since she has been in the hospital.”
Still, the 21-year-old daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston remains on life support. The music scion was hospitalized Saturday after being found unconscious in her Georgia home. “Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family. As her father already stated, we are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time,” the Houstons told E! News Monday. “Thank you for your prayers, well wishes, and we greatly appreciate your continued support.”
Friends and family flocked to her bedside in the days that followed, and on Wednesday, Bobby released a statement via his lawyer. “We are currently investigating the events that led to the hospitalization,” the New Edition singer told E! News. He also clarified that his daughter “is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon,” despite that fact that Bobbi Kristina and Nick often call each other husband and wife.
“We continue to request privacy in this matter,” Bobby continued. “Please allow for our family to deal with this matter and give Bobbi Kristina the love and support she needs at this time.”
